How fast is server deployment?

Under 60 seconds from checkout to a running server for every supported game. You get control panel access, SFTP credentials, and a "ready to connect" message in a single email within a minute of payment โ€” often before you've even switched tabs.

What's the difference between managed, VPS, and dedicated?

Managed game hosting is fully configured โ€” panel, mods, backups, one-click everything. VPS gives you root / SSH on a box with dedicated vCPU; you install and run the game server yourself for full control. Dedicated is a full bare-metal machine with no other tenants โ€” for 100+ concurrent players or multi-server networks.

Do I need to know Linux or networking to host?

For managed plans, no โ€” the panel handles everything. Point-and-click to install mods, restart, switch versions, manage players. For VPS or dedicated plans, basic Linux comfort helps (SSH, systemd, editing config files), but we ship game-server install scripts and our team will walk you through anything unfamiliar.

Can I test before committing?

Yes โ€” every managed plan has a 48-hour money-back guarantee, no questions asked. Deploy a server, test it under real load, and cancel with a full refund if it doesn't work for you. VPS plans bill hourly on some tiers, so you can spin up and destroy on the same day.

What does the control panel include?

Start / stop / restart, full server console, file manager with in-browser editor, SFTP credentials, scheduled tasks, subuser permissions, MySQL / MariaDB manager, scheduled backups with one-click rollback, API tokens, live CPU / RAM / TPS metrics, 2FA, and full audit logging. Same panel for every game.

Do you provide a dedicated IP?

Yes โ€” every managed plan gets its own IPv4 address on a non-shared port. Custom domain / subdomain support is included free. VPS and dedicated plans get full public IP(s) by default with the option to add additional IPs on request.

What it costs, how you pay, and what happens if you cancel.

How much do your plans cost?

Managed game hosting starts at $5/mo. VPS plans start at $5/mo (with dedicated vCPU). Dedicated servers start at $45/mo. Each game has its own pricing page with Starter, Community, and Flagship tiers sized for actual workloads โ€” see the game's hub page for specifics.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), PayPal, and direct SEPA / bank transfer for EU customers. Crypto (BTC, ETH, USDC, USDT) accepted on annual plans. Business invoicing available for Enterprise / dedicated plans โ€” email [email protected].

Are there any setup fees or hidden charges?

No. The price on the plan page is the price you pay. No setup fees, no "bandwidth overage" bills in month 2, no auto-renewal gotchas. If we charge it, it's listed.

Do you offer discounts for longer commitments?

Yes โ€” quarterly plans get 10% off, yearly plans get 20% off. Two-year and three-year commitments are available on request with deeper discounts. All prepaid periods are refundable prorated if you cancel mid-term.

What's your refund policy?

48-hour money-back guarantee on every managed plan, no questions asked. Cancel from the dashboard within 48 hours and get a full refund. After that it's still prorated โ€” you only pay for the days you actually used. Full details in our refund policy.

How do I cancel?

One click from the billing page in your dashboard. No cancellation fees, no exit interview, no "are you sure?" pop-up loops. Your server keeps running until the end of the billing period and your files are archived for 30 days in case you change your mind.

Do you charge VAT / tax?

EU customers are charged VAT at their local rate. UK customers are charged UK VAT. US and other international customers pay listed prices exclusive of any local tax. Business customers with a valid VAT ID are automatically zero-rated at checkout.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes, anytime from the dashboard. Upgrades are prorated and apply on the next server restart (usually instant). Downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Your files, worlds, and configs carry over without manual intervention.

Hardware & Performance

The boxes your server runs on, and what to expect from them.

What hardware do you run on?

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X processors (5.7 GHz boost, 16 cores), DDR5-5200 ECC RAM, Enterprise NVMe Gen 4 SSDs in RAID 1, and 10 Gbps uplinks per node. Epyc 9004-series available for high-core-count dedicated plans. Nodes are intentionally under-allocated โ€” your plan's resources are always available, never "up to."

Why Ryzen 9 instead of Epyc / Xeon?

Most game servers are single-thread-bound โ€” Minecraft, CS, FiveM, Rust, 7DTD, Space Engineers, Source-engine games. A high-clock Ryzen 9 7950X at 5.7 GHz destroys a lower-clock 64-core Xeon for tick rate under load. We use Epyc for dedicated boxes that need raw core count (multi-server communities, big ARK clusters).

Is the CPU shared or dedicated?

Managed plans run on shared Ryzen 9 nodes that are intentionally under-allocated โ€” you get your plan's full resources, but the physical cores are pooled. VPS plans ship with fully dedicated vCPU (no shared core). Dedicated plans give you the entire physical machine.

What tick rate / TPS can I expect?

Minecraft: locked 20 TPS even with 50 players and 200 loaded chunks on ATM9. CS:GO / CS 1.6: rock-solid 128 tick / 1000 FPS. CS2: stable Source 2 sub-tick frame pacing. FiveM: 0.5-2 ms OneSync tick at 64+ slots. Rust: 30 FPS on 200-slot wipes. Numbers drop only if your plugin / mod stack misbehaves โ€” our hardware doesn't hold you back.

What RAM type / speed do you use?

DDR5-5200 ECC on every node (managed, VPS, and dedicated). ECC (error-correcting code) catches memory bit-flips that would otherwise corrupt a Minecraft save or crash a Rust shard at 3 AM.

Do you use SSDs or NVMe?

Enterprise NVMe Gen 4 SSDs everywhere โ€” no SATA SSDs, no HDDs, no network-attached block storage. Autosaves and chunk loads on big Space Engineers / 7DTD / Minecraft worlds stay invisible instead of causing visible lag spikes.

Which games do you support?

24 games with dedicated tuning: FiveM, Minecraft, Rust, ARK, Palworld, CS2, CS:GO, CS 1.6, Arma 3, DayZ, Project Zomboid, 7 Days to Die, Space Engineers, Starbound, Unturned, Valheim, Hytale, Garry's Mod, Factorio, Satisfactory, Terraria, Among Us, SCP: Secret Lab, and SA:MP. Each game has a dedicated page with specifics.

My game isn't listed โ€” can you still host it?

Probably yes. We can host 50+ games beyond the 22 featured here, and our VPS plans can run anything that has a Linux or Windows dedicated server binary. Ask us โ€” we'll confirm and often have dedicated tuning added within a day.

Can I install mods and plugins?

Yes, for every supported game. One-click installs for popular ecosystems (Forge, Fabric, Paper, Oxide, Carbon, txAdmin artifacts, CounterStrikeSharp, AMX Mod X, OpenMod, Torch, HyMod). Full file manager access for anything custom. Auto-install from CurseForge, Modrinth, and GitHub on supported games.

How do I install a Minecraft modpack?

Paste a CurseForge or Modrinth URL into the panel โ€” we download, install, auto-select the right Java version, apply Aikar's flags, and launch. Auto-updates on every restart pick up new modpack releases automatically.

Can I switch Minecraft / Rust / FiveM versions?

Yes, from a dropdown in the panel. Your world / save is preserved across compatible versions. For major-version upgrades that aren't backward-compatible (e.g. MC 1.12.2 โ†’ 1.20), we snapshot your world first so you can roll back if the upgrade breaks mods.

Can I switch games entirely?

Yes โ€” one click from the panel (managed plans). Your previous server's files are archived for 30 days in case you want to switch back. E.g., Minecraft โ†’ Rust takes under a minute to re-provision.

Do you support Workshop maps / content?

Yes, for every game that supports it โ€” ARK, Rust, CS:GO, CS2, Space Engineers, Unturned, Palworld, and more. Paste a Workshop collection URL into the panel and we download, install, and auto-update the full collection on every restart. Players sync on connect.

Can I run custom code / plugins I wrote?

Yes โ€” upload via SFTP or the file manager. For compiled plugins (AMX Mod X .amxx, CounterStrikeSharp .dll, SourceMod .smx, Torch DLLs), drop them into the right directory and they hot-load on next restart.

Where are your datacenters located?

10 global datacenters: New York, Los Angeles, Dallas (North America), London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Warsaw (Europe), Singapore, Tokyo (Asia), and Sydney (Oceania). Change location anytime from the dashboard at no charge.

How do I pick the right location?

Closest to where most of your players actually live, not closest to you. A 5 ms ping advantage beats a 10% faster CPU every time for FPS games. Our panel has a latency tester that runs from your browser to each DC โ€” run it and pick the lowest.

What DDoS protection do you include?

Full Layer 3/4/7 mitigation on every plan at no extra cost. Terabit capacity across our network, with game-protocol filters for FiveM, Minecraft, Rust, CS, ARK, and more. Attacks are absorbed at the edge before they hit your server โ€” no null-routes, no "enterprise protection" upsells.

Will you null-route me if I'm attacked?

No. Our mitigation stack handles attacks inline, not by blackholing the IP. Even sustained multi-Gbps floods stay transparent to your players.

Is there a bandwidth cap?

No hard cap on managed or VPS plans under normal game-server usage. Dedicated plans ship with unmetered 1 Gbps (10 Gbps on flagship tiers). If you're planning a mirror / CDN / general-purpose workload that'll push heavy sustained traffic, email us โ€” we'll quote appropriately.

Can I use a custom domain / subdomain?

Yes, included free on every plan. Point an A record at your server IP or use our provided .fatality.host subdomain. SRV records for Minecraft are supported and documented in the knowledge base.

Migration & Moving

Coming from another host, or moving between our regions.

Can you migrate my server from another host?

Yes, free on every paid plan. Send us SFTP or panel credentials for your existing server โ€” we copy your world, plugins / mods, configs, databases, and player data. Most migrations finish in 15-30 minutes; bigger worlds (200 GB+ Undead Legacy, multi-TB ARK clusters) take longer.

Which hosts have you migrated from?

All the big ones โ€” Apex, Shockbyte, BisectHosting, Nitrado, GTX, Host Havoc, NFOservers, Hostinger, OVH, and a long tail of smaller ones. We have migration runbooks for each, including gotchas like their default plugin paths and custom permission schemas.

Will my players' progress / saves transfer?

Yes. World data, player inventories, economy balances (Uconomy, PointShop, etc.), ranks / permissions, achievements, and custom databases all move with the migration. We verify the world loads correctly on our end before handing it over so you don't launch to a corrupted save.

Can I move between your datacenters later?

Yes, anytime, free. One click from the panel initiates the move โ€” world and config data transfers in the background, DNS updates automatically. Typical downtime is 2-5 minutes. Players keep their progress; server IP changes (use a domain / subdomain to abstract this).

Do you keep backups during migration?

Yes โ€” we snapshot before we start, snapshot after we finish, and keep both for 30 days. If anything goes wrong you can roll back either to the original source state or the first post-migration state with one click.

What's your response time?

Live chat: under 10 minutes during business hours. Email and tickets: under 2 hours during business hours. Priority tickets (Community plan and above, plus dedicated plans): under 30 minutes, 24/7. Dedicated plans bypass the first line entirely and go straight to senior engineers.

Who's actually answering?

One of our three team members โ€” Paul, Maria, or William. No outsourced call center, no first-line script readers. Every support interaction is with someone who actually runs game servers for a living. Learn more on the about page.

What can support help me with?

Server won't start, performance issues, mod install problems, migration from another host, panel bugs, hardware questions, sizing recommendations for upgrades, and quick config review. We stop short of writing your plugins for you โ€” but we'll point you at the right resource or library.

Do you have a status page?

2FA, subusers, data ownership, and access.

Do you support 2FA?

Yes โ€” TOTP (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, Bitwarden) and WebAuthn / passkey support. 2FA is required by default on admin accounts. Backup codes issued at setup for recovery.

Can I add subusers with limited permissions?

Yes. Invite unlimited subusers per server with fine-grained permissions โ€” start/stop, file access, console, scheduled tasks, backups, subuser management, and billing are all independently grantable. Perfect for mods, helpers, builders, and community devs who shouldn't have full admin.

Do you have an API?

Yes. REST API for server control (start, stop, restart, file operations, console commands, backup management) and billing (view invoices, change plan, manage subusers). API tokens are scoped per-server or account-wide. Full docs in the knowledge base.

Who owns my data?

You do. We host your files โ€” they're yours. You can download the full world, configs, and databases anytime via SFTP or the panel's "export everything" button. If you cancel, we archive your data for 30 days before permanent deletion โ€” plenty of time to grab what you need.

Do you read my server console / files?

No. Staff only access your server files when you open a support ticket asking us to, or when required to respond to a valid abuse report. All staff access is logged and visible in your audit log. See our privacy policy for the legal text.

What happens if I forget my password?

Standard email-based password reset, with 2FA verification required. If you've also lost your 2FA device and backup codes, contact support with proof of account ownership (last 4 digits of the card on file, recent invoice number, original signup email) โ€” we'll verify and reset manually.
